About Class IX
Class 9 is the foundation year for board classes, and the syllabus jump is real: Physics (motion, force, gravitation), Chemistry (matter, atoms, structure of the atom), and Biology (cell, tissues) arrive as distinct disciplines; Mathematics brings number systems, polynomials, coordinate geometry, and Euclid; Social Science splits into History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. Most toppers treat Class 9 as “Class 10 part one” — the chapters you master now are the chapters you revise, not relearn, next year.
Study tips
- Finish the Mathematics NCERT twice — it is the backbone of Class 10.
- Write Physics derivations by hand repeatedly until they flow.
- Study History and Civics in small daily portions; cramming fails here.
